Overwatch: Tracer- London Calling

The first ever Arabic comic book series from Blizzard

Leading the Arabic localization at Blizzard, we worked in close collaboration with the internal team, Dark Horse Comics and SaudiSoft in bringing the 5th most spoken language in the world to this bi-monthly, five-part digital comic book series.

A first for the company, the first comic is currently available Darkhorse.com and other online comic book platforms such as Comixology. You can also directly check them out via the following links:

The job was a massive tasks into finding fonts that could work for Arabic, optimizing translation and culturalization of the script, as well as lettering and custom VFX/GFX for the comic. This marks Blizzard’s first Arabic comic ever.

Set several years after Overwatch and its agents are declared “illegal” this essential tie-in comic series will forever alter Overwatch history! Acclaimed Eisner and Harvey award–winning writer Mariko Tamaki (This One Summer, X-23) and kinetic artist Babs Tarr (Batgirl, Motor Crush) are joined by exquisite colorist Rachel Cohen (Snotgirl) and letterer extraordinaire Deron Bennett (Tale of Sand) for this comic book series.
